What are the ad’s strengths?

Initially the ad is very eye catching, that’s the reason I chose it. The first thing I noticed was the 25% off which is something that I automatically do already, look for deals, especially around the holidays. It’s also a very simple picture but still appetizing.

What are the ad’s weaknesses?

Honestly it was a very simple ad, it had a clear picture, and the discount was clearly printed. The only flaw for me was that the link to click was titled “Hot Thanksgiving Deal” which for me was a little confusing because I expected it to be a deal for actual thanksgiving foods and especially since they are closed on actual Thanksgiving it was odd to name it that. I think focusing on Black Friday would have been a little better for them.

What is the ad trying to accomplish with its design?

Catch the consumer’s eye, display the merchandise nicely, and draw more customers into Papa Murphy’s.

How has the design used: Composition, Fundamentals, Contrast, Lines, Layout, Golden Section, Rule of Thirds, Not Half, Swiss Grid or Custom Grids?

I think the best use of design was the sale design on the ad. It was simple but it also caught my eye, the only drawback was the little green circle; I had a very hard time trying to read what it was promoting.

What metrics (likes, shares, re-tweets, etc.) will be used to determine if the ad is successful?

The link does lead you back to Papa Murphy’s Facebook page so they could track how many people come through that link. Also, if this is the only place where that promotion is being advertised they would know based on the number of customers that request that special.
