I choose a paid ad promoted on Pinterest because I want to better understand how they work on this channel. Paid ads are group in with other posts and pins. You can tell that the pin is a paid ad when it says “Promoted by” and then the company.
In this ad Pinterest is promoting their own paid ad program, which is very handy for those of us who are trying to figure out how it works.
1. They don’t stick out like a sore thumb
2. They look like any other post/pin which allows viewers to focus on the content instead of being distracted or repelled by the fact that it is an ad.

2. To get the full scoop you have to sign up, a feature I don’t care for. I prefer to know what I’m getting into before I give them my information.
The ad is promoting Pinterest’s paid promotion, personalize support, help creating your ads and expert training for 30 days when you sign up.

Metrics will bill measured by likes, shares and people who sign up for the service.
