This ad uses a really good photo with good lead room with the subject in the first third of the photo. It also can be tricky to use gradient, but I think they did so successfully here. It’s a nice transition from the photo to the text. I think they used a good color scheme with the green and dark purple. It’ a good contrast “Online Homeschooling!” really stands out in the the statement and creates a clear hierarchy. My initial thought, looking at it was that children struggling in public school could have a fresh start and a better chance in an online setting from home. When reading through the body copy, that’s essentially what the ad is about and they do a good job of communicating that. The other thing that may not be great to others, but that I thought was clever was that in their explanation under the image it trails off with a … and doesn’t finish the explanation. I think it creates a great hook for those already reading it, they’re going to want to know more and will click the button to take them to the website. Although, it cook be an annoyance to some who would have rather finished reading the explanation on social media.
